I think I've been going out of my brain! After this long long long cabin fever, self-isolating pandemic delay it's time tot get back to the future so we can get back to the rad! Let's do this thing!

We got a new date confirmed for 2021!  It's August 29th at Hartwood Acres!

We're going to be making more announcements as soon as we re-finalize more of our plans., but right now HOLD THIS DATE!

Music announcements coming after I talk to my analyst about my pocketful of kryptonite....

COVID-19 NOTICE:  Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and the planning delays caused by it, we are going to postpone the inaugural #ROckNRad show until 2021.

We hope you understand that there are many moving parts to make the event happen that require sponsors, vendors, and entertainment to arrange transport, travel, hotels, equipment rental and set up.  We're going to put everything on hold until things settle down, we can lock down all the plans, and restrictions have been lifted for the sponsors to travel here.  

Of course we planned a huge party and a pandemic happened. Who knew! 

We are getting asked.  The answer is, we don't know.  You don't know and we don't know.  Lots of uncertainty. for everyone.. Our sponsors don't know. Our vendors aren't sure. Our volunteers are unsure.. When we know, we'll let you know. 

But we do know this....

• Please wash your hands,
• Bag your face.,
• Be Super Special Nice to people who are essential workers., they are as stressed as you. 

So, what about food man? What are we goin' to do about food dude?!?!

The Rock N Rad Car show that will be held at Hartwood Acres on June 28 has announced the The Romantics will be the featured band featured at the Hartwood Acres Amphitheater that evening.

The Romantics are an American rock band, often put under the banner of power pop and new wave, that formed in 1977 in Detroit.. The band's first show was on Valentine's Day at My Fair Lady Club, in Detroit, opening for the New MC5 in 1977. They were influenced by 1950s American rock and roll, Detroit's MC5, the Stooges, early Bob Seger, Motown R&B, 1960s North American garage rock as well as the British Invasion rockers.

Their two best-charting songs were "What I Like About You" and "Talking in Your Sleep" have since become mainstays on '80s, classic rock

Registrations to the 2020 Rock N Rad are starting to come in.  We're going to post photos so you have a good idea of what to expect coming to the show. It's been an amazing initial surge!  Keep it going!

We've got 2 Ferraris, a number of Volkwagons, an Alfa Romeo, a Porshe, a BMW and of course our first DMC DeLorean!  There's more that registered so be sure and post your car on our Facebook Group after you register to let us know to grab a photo of your car so we can let people know you are coming!

We're working on some logo designs for our t-shirts and gear.  Remember you get on t-shirt with each pre-registration!

Rad cars aren't just for looking at! They're for driving!  We've worked with the folks at Allegheny County Parks to develop a fun driving experience from our host hotel at the Doubletree Hilton in Cranberry to Hartwood Acres.  

We'll kick off the morning with a hearty breakfast or just some coffee at the Ember & Vine Restaurant and then we'll line up some cars to and start releasing everyone to head to Hartwood Acres showfield..

You can pick up your dashcard at the gate when you arrive. at the receiving tent at Hartwood Acres.  Display you dashcard on your windshield as that is your "ticket" into the Rock n Rad Car Show.

When we first embarked on this project, the team decided that music was a big part of the 80's and 90's scene. and should also be a big component of our Rad Era car event.

Soundtracks from movies were popular during the period and sometimes movies got made because of the songs.. "Okay, fine... Fer sure, fer sure."  Music and cars just fit well together in that 80's & 90's era.  The Miami Vice television show pioneered the use of current popular music and musicians in their shows and that tradition has carried on to this day in television and movies. Need was say more than Bueller?… Bueller?… Bueller? before a Ferrari comes to mind?

So, we approached the folks at Allegheny County to talk about holding our event at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater on a Sunday afternoon before one of their free concert series evenings. 

"We can bring some people to the park and celebrate the 80's & 90's in the afternoon if you guys can book an 80's or 90's band for the evening to round it out." we told them. 

And they, where. AWESOME! They loved the idea!

They already have food trucks, craft beer an porta-johns at the park so we can just plug things in earlier in the day and rock into the evening with rad tunes.

It's really an amazing venue and it's what makes Allegheny County a really terrific place to call home..

Allegheny County hosts an annual Father's Day Car Cruise in June. if you want to see how a car show is set up there. The Fathers Day Car Cruise typically runs from 2:00 pm-7:00 pm. with the Concert staring at 7:30 pm..
